The mining company Redfern was planning to build a 160km industrial access road from Atlin
south to their mine site through the pristine Taku River Watershed.
Imagine what this would mean to the wild spaces of caribou, grizzly bears and wild salmon! Unrelenting action against this road finally paid off - they've scrapped the plan!
The Tulsequah Chief is an old mine site that had been leaching acid into salmon-bearing
streams for half a century, and the project remains controversial.
Take action! www.riverswithoutborders.org
